Acting General Manager Noel R. Dalena had already submitted to DPWH District 6 a request to allow MWCD to only restore the portion affected by the excavation with the use of embedded dowels to further strengthen the bond between the affected road and the road to be restored.

Meanwhile, pipelaying works at Cordova area is physically complete. Remaining works for this area are interconnection and the ongoing road restoration.
The project is composed of two (2) areas - along Juan Sitoy St. Brgy. Catarman, Cordova, Cebu and along M.V. Patalinghug Ave., Lapulapu City. Works along M.V. Patalinghug is in full swing after the lifting of the suspension order by DPWH. Meanwhile, pipelaying works at Cordova area is physically complete. Meanwhile, local residents along Road to LDU has  blocked the Contractor from implementing the works along Road to LDU. Pipelaying works is completed except for the two areas namely: road to LDU and the road to Redwood Subdivision. Most of the newly installed pipeline along Tayud, Consolacion hi-way have already passed hydrotesting. Concrete pavement restoration along Bagacay Road is ongoing. Upon completion of the restoration works at Bagacay Road, Contractor is expected to proceed pipelaying works along road to LDU and road to Redwood Subdivision.

The project is composed of three pipelaying areas namely: (a) Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road, Compostela, (b) Norkis Compound, Cogon, Compostela, (c) Catarman Road Leading to San Fernando Rey Parish Church, Poblacion, Liloan, Cebu.
