PIpelaying is ongoing. The
bridge crossing portion had to be revised since the DPWH does not allow the
pipe to be attached to the bridge. The Engineering Department had already
made the initial design of the bridge crossing pipeline. PMO has advised the Contractor
for the cost negotiation of the newdesign. Once PMO and the Contractor
reached an agreement for the cost, PMO will make a variation order of the new
bridge crossing design and endorse the same to the BOD.
The MCWD BOD on its Resolution No. 184-2015 dated October 13, 2015 had
approved and authorized the contractor to suspend digging activities and/or
excavation works effective July 15, 2015 until October 14, 2015 in compliance
with the directive of DPWH without penalty. Consequently, the PERT/CPM had to
be revised and it is on process. If approved, the target accomplishment may
be lower and so wilth the slippage. |

Dr. Pericles Dakay, the CEO of
Dakay Construction, has sent a letter to MCWD Acting General Manager Noel R.
Dalena informing the latter of the former's intention to mutually terminate
the project. During its meeting, the EXECOM had agreed to recommend to the
BOD the Contractor's intention to terminate the project. |
|
A meeting was conducted on July
15, 2015. The Contractor was instructed to write to MCWD a formal request for the deletion of the
areas under DPWH and to ask for approval of Variation Order No. 2 so that the
Contractor could implement the areas under the LGU that already had a permit.
PMO has kept following up the Contractor regarding the latter's letter
indicating that the Contractor will continue works for the areas under LGU
and the Contractor's request for the deletion of the areas under DPWH. PMO is
still awaiting for the said letter. The project PERT/CPM will be revised once
the variation orders for Carajay Road and Dad Cleland Avenue will be approved
or if MCWD BOD will allow the Contractor to proceed works. |
