If approved, the PERT/CPM will be revised. The pipes and fittings from India are on transit and is expected to arrive at the port of Cebu by August 2016. The Contractor has indicated that it will be filing a request for time extension for the delays in the delivery of the materials due to plant closure in India.

The project is composed of two (2) areas - along Juan Sitoy St. Brgy. Catarman, Cordova, Cebu and along M.V. Patalinghug Ave., Lapulapu City. Pipelaying works along M.V. Patalinghug Ave. is already complete and has passed hydrotesting. Contractor has requested a time extension for the road restoration which has yet to be decided on whether to follow the DPWH requirements to restore the whole block or to maintain MCWD requirements to only restore the portion of the road affected by the excavation.

Acting General Manager Noel R. Dalena had already submitted to DPWH District 6 a request to allow MWCD to only restore the portion affected by the excavation with the use of embedded dowels to further strengthen the bond between the affected road and the road to be restored.

Meanwhile, pipelaying works at Cordova area is physically complete. Remaining works for this area are interconnection and the ongoing road restoration.

Of the areas which already passed hydrotesting, namely, Tayud Highway and Bagacay Road, the Contractor is making finishing touches with the assemblies. Concrete restoration along Upper Bagacay Road has been completed. Contractor has started pipelaying works along Road to Redwood Subdivision and Road to LDU. The Barangay Chairman of Tayud, Consoloacion has barred the Contractor from starting works on these two (2) areas until the completion of the road restoration along upper bagacay. Contractor has already laid 165 linear meters of the more than 400 linear meters of pipe along Road to Redwood Subdivision. Meanwhile, local residents along Road to LDU has  blocked the Contractor from implementing the works along Road to LDU.

PMO had requested ED for a new pipeline design to minimize the traversing and cutting across of the said road. This new pipeline design is to serve as new tapping points for the previously road-crossing stub-outs.		 The project is composed of three pipelaying areas namely: (a) Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road, Compostela, (b) Norkis Compound, Cogon, Compostela, (c) Catarman Road Leading to San Fernando Rey Parish Church, Poblacion, Liloan, Cebu.

The Norkis area was completed on June 15, 2016. It has been turned-over to PDD on June 30, 2016. Works on the other areas is ongoing.
